Last blog....

Last blog....

I actually know how to work photoshop and dreamweaver... wow!
I'm very proud of my lovely webpage.

Websites..... blah

Oh dear.... getting there.

I really like our webpage. It's simple but original. :) I got the idea from looking up the meaning of colours. I used the gradient tool to combine blue to red to yellow colour. It came out really well actually. We got the idea by just talking about college. I didn't really have time to look up websites as I only started yesterday. That sounds so bad but you know why. I'm so happy I actually got it done ha!

Webpage

Me and Benny are doing a website on 'Tips for College'. We decided we would have it colourful and have a lot of information on how to study, college life etc. It's aimed at potiential students and current students. We felt that no other website had information like this. We wanted to do something different instead of doing on on a football team or anything like that.

It's a really colourfull page as i said, I feel that it portrays a happy vibe...
Got to go watch a tutorial about dreamweaver....
Lovely!! :)

The SEO

"Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it "ranks," the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines."

Whether it be new music, movies or just simple day to day queries the answer is "google it" its made searching for difficult things simple and for some navagating the web without it would be as hard as finding a neddle in a hay stack. The likes of Yahoo,Live search,Ask.com have been helping the not so indepth of the IT world for years helping us with online maps to dress shopping.

how to get number one on the google list is the question!!!!!!!

DJ Ray Dartley launches Positive Age Week
Popular DJ Ray Dartley helped launch Positive Age Week at a small tea party in the Merion Hotel yesterday(18.11.08).
Positive Age Week's central aim is to dispel the many negative perceptions that surround ageing and to transform attitudes. It is also an opportunity to raise many needed funds for the charity.
Lorraine Dorgan, deputy chief executive of Age Action Ireland said:"We need to celebrate the fact that we are living longer;that ageing is not such a burden but an opportunity. I would like to encourage as many people as possible around the country to take part in Positive Age Week."

During Positive Age Week, people are encouraged to organise parties that celebrate the elderly. They can be anything from a small family gathering to a street a street party. A nominated fundraiser at each party will accept donations from those attending.

Age Action Ireland is the national independent organisation on ageing and older people. Its main aim is to improve the quality of life of older people especially those who are most disadvantaged and vulnerable by enabling them to live, full independent and satisfied lives for as long as they wish to stay in their own homes.
Positive Age Week will run from Monday 8th-Sunday 15th December 2008. To register as a fundraiser for Positive Age Week contact Lorraine Dorgan on 012345678 or visit http://www.ageaction.ie/.

my view of the online sex industry

It has to be the most popular industry. I think of all the celebrity rumours of making sex videos and putting them up on the net. How many times has Paris Hilton been accused of it, along with Britney Spears....the list goes on.Long gone are the days where pornography was to be purchased in a sex shop now all your need is the Internet and a computer...The buck don't stop at at pornography but in sex goods and toys even as far online prostitution!!

"As a part of globalization, women and children are increasingly becoming commodities to be bought, sold, and consumed by organized crime rings, tourists, military personnel, and men seeking sexual entertainment or non-threatening marriage partners. Through financial and technological interdependence, the sex industry and the Internet industry have become partners in the global sexual exploitation of women and children. Those with power are using new information technologies to expand their capacity to exploit women and girls throughout the world" This according to Donna M. Hughes of the Technology and Society Magazine, proves the point that al you need is access to the web. Just as easy as buying a chocolate bar........
